Get it to receive P25 and it just doesn’t happen. The reception is real bad, it doesn’t shown all the UID’s all the time and I have done everything I know to This P2 seems to have been messed up when I got it when it was 1st released. I do not have this problem running software for the 246T BR330, BCD996, BCD996XT. I have to turn the scanner off, remove the mini USB cable, turn the scanner back on and THEN your hear the ka-bloop! When I turn off the scanner you do not hear the ka-bloop. I don’t have any P25 systems here – just EDACS – I have a 536HP which is a real bear to program and the BUTEL program I got isn’t much better than the one bearcat includes, also have two BC78XLTs but BUTEL stopped supporting the software starting with win 7. I have 5 BC15XTs and the same butel program works just fine, the VC comes up without any recycling, I have 4 P2s and I have to cycle power on them for the VC to work. Have done it so many times, it goes fast and easy and has yet to fail. Sometimes, they’ll just stop and I will have to repeat the steps – but I I have to do this for all four of my P2s everytime I reset – and Then start the virtual console – it will work. THEN – turn OFF your scanner (and hear the little ka-bloop) and then waitĪ few, and turn it back on – (and wait for the happy ka-bip).
